Working as a background artiste or “extra” can be very exciting and rewarding. A background artiste can be any shape, size, age or ethnic origin. The main requirement for this division is professionalism and punctuality. Bookings can be made at very short notice so availability and flexibility are vital. Background artistes must be able to take direction and exercise a high level of patience as they can be required to wait for long periods at a time before getting their opportunity to “perform”.

Promotional staff can be involved in many different activities including product launches to the promotion of international sports events. We only recruit the highest calibre of candidates as this work is very demanding and staff need to be extremely flexible as the tasks range enormously from job to job. Having an understanding of marketing is an advantage but not essential.

Child modelling and acting is very attractive to many families. There are opportunities for photographic and TV work and we aim to recruit children with as many different looks as possible. This enables us to provide our clients with as much choice as possible. It can however be very demanding and commands a great deal of commitment from the carer of the child. Your child may be asked to attend many castings or auditions before they may be lucky enough to be booked for a photo-shoot or TV assignment.

The criteria to be a model is extremely high and it is important to think carefully before applying for this division. Females should be between 5’8” and 5’11” in height and males 5’11” and 6’2”. Females need to be naturally slim and well toned and males are required to have a well proportioned and fit physique. All models need to have good teeth and hair, a clear healthy complexion and good deportment. A friendly manner and resilient attitude is imperative as models need to be prepared to deal with the competitive environment which is prevalent throughout the industry. However with a lot of hard work and stamina this can be a very rewarding career and can offer a myriad of opportunities to enjoy new experiences through meeting new people and travel.
